2011-2012 German 2.Bundesliga Season Review

The German 1 and 2.Bundesliga has been yo-yo leagues for many years with clubs such as Hertha Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurrt and FC Kaiserslautern playing in both divisions multiple times although in 2012-2013 there will be a new club in the top division after SpVgg Greuther Furth won the 2011-2012 German 2.Bundesliga and automatic promotion. Furth will be joined by Eintracht Frankfurt and Fortuna Dusseldorf who won the playoff and will join the league for the first time since 1997. Like many countries the second division has been a player resource for top division sides the Germany being no different with Kevin Volland, Max Kruse, Stefan Aigner, Bruno Soares and Takashi Inui all joining German 1.Bundesliga clubs over the summer.
