2011-2012 English Conference Season Review

There were two stand out clubs during the 2011-2012 England Conference, Fleetwood Town who won the league title with 103 points and Wrexham who finished 2nd with 99 points but then lost out in the playoffs to York City and will remain in the Conference next season. Fleetwood also had the leagues top goalscorer in Jamie Verdy, an unknown even in non-league ranks, scored 31 goals/13 assists and was sold at seasons end to Leicester City for over one million pounds. The conference had a number of players excel statistically including four players scoring more than 25 goals in the league.
