DF 6-0 175 4/17/1990

24th Pick: Brian Rowe (ENB #67)

37th Pick: Kevin Venegas (NR)
DF 5-10 150 7/29/1989

Grade: Casey Townsend was a surprise pick for many at 5th although I had him ranked 4th in the draft and can see him being a consistent goalscorer in the MLS in a Taylor Twellmen type mold. Chivas biggest need in this draft was defense so they drafted four in the Supplemental although none of them stood out  during the 2011 NCAA season and only RJ Allen was invited to the Combine. So Chivas USA draft will be judged how well Townsend is able to preform. C
