2012 South Korea K-League Season Review

The 2012 South Korea K-league changed its format by removing the playoffs and having a split 44 game season similar to the Scottish Premier League in Europe. The new system created some issues including army club Sangju Sangmu deciding not to play the second half of the season. The 44 game schedule also created exceptional statistical outputs including Dejan Damjanovic 31 goals, Lee Dong-Gook 26 goals, and Mauricio Molina scored 18 goals and added 19 assists. FC Seoul easily won the league title well 5th place side Ulsan Hyundai also won the AFC Championship League title. The league's prospect list included players who won the bronze medal for South Korea at the 2012 Olympic games and young Brazilians including Jair and top prospect Wesley.
