2012 Ecuador Seire A Season Review

Barcelona won the Ecuadorian Siere A first and second stage double in 2012 meaning there was no need for a playoff matchup between each stage champions as was scheduled. Overall Barcelona won the league title by nine points lead the prolific goal scoring of Arrinton Mina and great midfield play by Argentinean Damian Diaz who tied for the league lead in Assists. The league top prospect was Carlos Feraud who led LDU Lorja a surprising spot in the 2013 Copa Sudamericana after being promoted to the Serie A the season before.
