2012 North American Soccer League Season Review

Tampa Bay Rowdies defeated Minnesota Stars in penalties after a 3-3 tied aggregate score to win the 2012 NASL Playoffs, Tampa Bay finished second in the regular season well Minnesota who won the the playoffs the season before finished 6th but beat 3rd place Puerto Rico and 1st place San Antonio to get into the finals. San Antonio an expansion team won the regular season by two points lead by the 20 goals of Pablo Campos and the leagues best defense captained by defensive midfielder Blake Wagner. NASL provided some exciting prospects for the future including Mark Anderson, Matt Horth, Shaun Saiko and defender Gale Agbossoumonde who joined MLS club Toronto FC after the season.
