2012 China Super League Season Review

The 2012 China Super League was dominated by the signing of big name foreign players joining the league. Didier Drogba being the most well known and despite his side also including Nicolas Anelka and Giovanni Moreno his club Shanghai Shenhua only won eight games and finished 9th in the league. The 2012 league title was won by Guangzhou, who under Marcello Lippi the side won its second consecutive title. Guangzhou side includes Argentinian play maker Dario Conca, Paraguay International Lucas Barrios and Brazilian prospect Muriqui and after the season they brought highly regarded prospect Elkeson also from Brazil.
