Analysis: Former Sporting KC keeper Jimmy Nielsen coaches new expansion team Oklahoma Energy and has brought in former teammates: defender Christian Duke, and one of his understudies in net, Jon Kempin. The club also brought in former MLS player Michael Thomas from Toronto, although prior also played with Sporting KC. Overall the team tried to bring in a combination of experienced players and youngsters with no pro experience, although adding to this is that Nielsen is a rookie coach and I think the club might struggle on the pitch in their inaugural season.
