2011-2012 French Ligue 1 Season Review

The 2011-2012 French Ligue 1 had a surprise winner in Montpellier HSC with the club winning its first Ligue 1 title in its history. Montpellier was led by striker Oliver Giroud who tied for the most goals and had the most shots on target and along with fellow prospect Eden Hazard (Lille)  will play next season in the English Premiership after major transfers during this summer. The other story in French Soccer is the continuing development Paris St-Germain who despite heavy spending finished second in 2011-2012, but has continue to bring players in and look to be heavy favorites for years to come.

2011-2012 English Premier League Season Review

What was regarded as the most exciting season in the English Premier League history, Manchester City used its newly attained resources to win the twentieth English Premier League title over fellow Manchester club United. City newly signed player Sergio Aguero scored 23 goals including the championship clincher. Only players to score more goals than Aguero were United's Wayne Rooney (27) and player of the year winner Robin van Persie who scored 30 goals with Arsenal. For more information regarding the English Premier League download my statistical abstract "20 Years of the English Premier League - A Statistical and Informational Account" - http://t.co/51RidMum
