2012 Major League Soccer Season Review

A repeat of last season's final saw the LA Galaxy win the 2012 MLS Cup in David Beckham last game for the club. Although the regular season played out a much different story with LA Galaxy finishing 8th overall and MLS Cup finalists Houston finishing 9th. The top teams in the regular season were San Jose lead by the 27 goals of striker Chris Wondolowski and Sporting Kansas City who had the league best defense and offence was lead by attacking midfielder and free kick specialist Graham Zusi. Along with Zusi and Wondowlowski the prospect list consisted a few well known names such as Landon Donovan, Osvaldo Alonso, Brek Shea and Fredy Montero although younger talent Sean Johnson, Will Bruin and Darren Mattocks also performed well and should be players to look out for in the future.
