2011-2012 Belgium Pro League Season Review

Again this season the Belgium Pro League included a playoff league after the regular season by grouping clubs to find out which clubs would win the championship, qualify for europe and be relegated. In the end RSC Anderlecht won it's league leading 31st championship. The Brussels club was led by Argentinan forward Matias Suarez who is regarded as the league top prospect ahead of now Chelsea loanee Kevin De Bruyne who lead the league in assists with KRC Genk. Another player to watch is Jelle Vossen who scored 20 goals with Genk for the second season in a row. Sint-Truiden and Westerlo were both relegated. The league has decided to continue with the playoff for next season despite overall league attendance continuing to decrease.
